Great interview... again! Lots for me to chew on here. I summarize my life with four words: SEAL, lecturer. writer, caregiver. While watching my wife's transformation due to Alzheimer's, I decided to write a memoir ("Into the Mist"). I found this project to be a conflation of those four words. I also found a new path to travel and a new appreciation of death. I am a completely different person - a better person - because of my wife's illness. Her disappearance into the mist is giving me a new life purpose: educating everyone who will listen about dementia and how to deal with it.
Thanks for reading Paul. What great titles to apply to one's life. Each take a lot of work and commitment, much less all four. Keep writing, keep caregiving. We should catch up soon.
What could be more interesting than our struggles to create a self/life that “works” at each stage? I appreciate Cory’s sharing both the peaks and the messiness of it all. Thanks to him and for your good interviewing, Benjamin! 👏

Thanks, Ben. I would like that.
